Construction Equipment Dealer Team announces multi-year electric FIA World Rallycross Championship entry
In cooperation with leading construction equipment distributors and industrial partners, the Construction Equipment Dealer Team (CE Dealer Team) announces its entry to the electric FIA World Rallycross Championship. Through its participation, the team aims to drive the shift to improved sustainability in society and highlight the excitement that a move to an electric future offers.
The team will join the Championship as it adopts an all-electric format from 2022, marking a major shift for the sport.
Greater sustainability, on track and off
The Nordic-based team is supported by several independent dealers of Volvo Construction Equipment, including ASCENDUM, SMT and Swecon, along with backing from prestigious industrial partners, including Engcon and SSAB, who together share a commitment to leading a sustainable future, both on track and off.
"We are pleased to announce our entry to World RX, which is a perfect fit for the CE Dealer Team and our push for a more sustainable future with our partners," said Emil Axelsson, Sporting and Commercial Director of CE Dealer Team.
"The World RX programme provides us with an excellent activation platform, one where our partners can showcase their innovative products and solutions through the world's most exciting electric motorsport category."
Making motorsport more inclusive and diverse
The CE Dealer Team is being operated by PWR RX, a sister company of the successful Swedish motorsport team PWR Racing. The team is entering a pair of 680hp electric rallycross cars for two soon-to-be revealed driving talents to contest the Championship.
"While World RX is new to us, building and developing fast electric race cars are not," said Daniel Haglöf, Co-Founder of CE Dealer Team. "Our extensive racing experience coupled with the vast technical expertise of our industrial partners give us confidence that our long-term goal of fighting for the FIA World Rallycross Championship titles will be ultimately successful.
"An important additional element of our programme is to drive a change that will see motorsport become more inclusive and diverse. We look forward to announcing further exciting details surrounding these elements soon."
The 2022 FIA World Rallycross Championship season starts with an official launch at the iconic Swedish circuit Höljes on July 2-3, followed by the first race weekend at the legendary Nürburgring in Germany on July 30-31. Full race calendar available here.

About FIA World Rallycross Championship
The FIA World Rallycross Championship is one of six official World Championship in motorsport alongside Formula 1 and World Rally Championship. The championship runs on seven venues across Europe and Africa. Rallycross is a combination of rallying and circuit racing. It is head-to-head short, sharp races on mixed surfaces (dirt and asphalt) contained within amphitheatre venues. In the headlining FIA World Rallycross Championship, high-profile drivers are equipped with fully electric RX1 cars producing over 600bhp and the ability to accelerate from 0-100km/h in less than two seconds – faster than a Formula 1 car.
