CE Dealer Team to finish its groundbreaking first World RX season at Nürburgring

Construction Equipment Dealer Team heads to the legendary Nürburgring in Germany this weekend for the final round of its groundbreaking first season in the all-electric FIA World Rallycross Championship.

CE Dealer Team entered the FIA World RX this year, as the sport enrolled into a new era of sustainability with the introduction of state-of-the-art electric cars.

With the series’ first-ever gender equal full-season driver line-up, CE Dealer Team continues its push to drive the shift to improved sustainability in society and highlight the excitement that a move to an electric future offers.

Niclas Grönholm enters the final round of the year following three consecutive podiums, as he currently holds third in the driver’s championship, trailing second by nine points. The 26-year-old Finn won the German finale last year in snowy conditions.

”I am hoping to have a good race in Germany, to round off a promising first season with the team. I managed to win there last year, so the track should suit me pretty well. There is still everything to play for in the fight for the remaining podium positions in the championship, so the aim is to end the season with a strong result,” said Niclas Grönholm.

Swedish racer Klara Andersson will conclude her first-ever full season in the top tier World RX in Germany. The 22-years-old sits seventh in the standings, with six points up to sixth.

"It will be exciting to return to the Nürburgring, where I raced in RX2e there last year in tricky and snowy conditions. Me, as well as everyone in the team, are pushing hard to finish this season off strongly, and I cannot wait to push the PWR RX1e to the max one last time this year”, said Klara Andersson.

CE Dealer Team holds third in the teams’ championship heading to the season finale.

”It has been an intense first groundbreaking season for us in the FIA World RX, as we have made a mark and pushed the boundaries both on and off track together with our partners. We now look forward to finishing the season with a strong result for the team as well as both drivers in Germany,” said Jussi Pinomäki, Team Manager of CE Dealer Team.

The World RX of Germany action starts on Saturday with practice sessions, Superpole and the heat sessions, followed by progression race and finals on Sunday. The action is broadcast worldwide on TV – as well as through the RX+ online streaming platform.
